The Wi-Fi interface can seamlessly integrate with both wired and wireless Ethernet devices. Users simply need to add a wireless router or AP to extend the existing Ethernet network to a wireless one. The special AP mode allows the WISE-4000 to be accessed directly by other Wi-Fi devices as an AP.

The RS-485 port on the WISE-4051 supports Modbus, allowing it to poll data from Modbus/RTU devices such as the ADAM-4000 or ADAM-5000/485. This data can then be accessed via Modbus or REST from the WISE-4051 and can also be logged.

In addition to supporting Modbus/TCP, the WISE-4051 series also supports the IoT communication protocol, RESTful web service. Data can be polled or automatically pushed from the WISE-4051 when the I/O status changes. The I/O status can be retrieved over the web using JSON. The WISE-4051 also supports HTTPS, providing security for use in a Wide Area Network (WAN).

The WISE-4000 can store up to 10,000 data samples with timestamps. The I/O data can be logged periodically or whenever the I/O status changes. When the memory is full, users have the option to either overwrite the old data in a ring log or stop the logging function.

The data logger can push data to file-based cloud services like Dropbox based on pre-configured criteria. Using the RESTful API, data can also be pushed to a private cloud server in JSON format. Users can set up their private cloud server using the provided RESTful API and their own platform.
