Portascanner® COVID-19 (equipped with Portascanner® AIRTIGHT) is an innovative technology developed by Coltraco Ultrasonics to help prevent the spread of airborne diseases such as COVID-19 in medical environments.

This technology received funding from the UK government in early 2021 and was rated as “excellent” by InnovateUK. Coltraco Ultrasonics subsequently introduced this important airborne disease prevention tool to the NHS and the global market.

Traditional airflow measurement methods often cause interference, are relatively costly, and often cannot accurately locate leakage points.

However, Portascanner® COVID-19 (equipped with Portascanner® AIRTIGHT) is currently the only device in the world that can quickly and accurately locate and calculate leaks without destructive operations. It is also the first instrument to directly measure leak size using ultrasonic technology.

This portable instrument is easy to operate and can be used regularly in the presence of patients and medical staff after simple training.

As an important tool for maintaining clean rooms, isolation rooms, dental clinics, and hospitals, Portascanner® COVID-19 (equipped with Portascanner® AIRTIGHT) enables maintenance personnel to ensure the airtightness of the environment or confirm that the air permeability is below the specified maximum standard.
